The city administration is on the toes to give the city a colorful look to welcome the foreign dignitaries as roads and avenues had been re-furnitured, medians repainted, and trees illuminated with LED lights.

A number of OIC delegates have already landed here to a red-carpet welcome.

He was speaking to the media at the airport where he also reviewed arrangements for visiting dignitaries and asked the officials to facilitate the distinguished guests.

The security has been beefed up in the federal capital.

In order to save the residents from traffic congestion and ensure a safe movement of motorcades, the federal government has announced for Saturday and Monday (December 18 and 20) as local holiday in the city.

Foolproof security arrangements had been made to ensure smooth conduct of the moot, being attended by the delegates and foreign ministers from 57 countries, said Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Friday while talking to the media.
