KP Cities Improvement Project to improve living standard: Faisal Amin

PESHAWAR: Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Faisal Amin on Tuesday said that with the financial assistance of Asian Development Bank Rs 69 billion Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project would be launched in five major cities to improve the living standard of the residents .

Talking to reporter, he said that initially five cities that include Peshawar, Abbottabad, Kohat, Mardan and Mingora (Swat) were selected that will directly benefitting about 3.5 million of urban population.

He said that project includes water supply and drainage, construction of green belts and solid waste management system.

The KP Cities Improvement projects will help selected cities improve their access to quality urban services through enhanced municipal infrastructure and strengthened institutional capacities.
