PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Elementary and Secondary Education Department (KP E&SED) and Coded Minds (an education sector organization) Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for starting System Education Programme in the public sector schools of the province.
Under the agreement, Coded Minds will impart training to the teachers and students of the public sector schools on system education. The project will continue for a period of five years.
The MoU was signed by the Additional Secretary (Reforms), Ashfaq Ahmad and Managing Director Coded Minds, Amna Kheshgi. KP Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Shahram Khan Tarakai was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, KP Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Shahram Khan Tarakai said that under the Phase-1 of the project System Education Programme will be started in 50 schools and on success completion it will be extended to all schools of the province.
He said that under the project, Coded Minds will provide manpower, technology to students from Nursery to Grade 10th and beside designing course and its availability will also provide all other facilities.
The provincial minister said that during the period of five years, 15 international certificates of the System Education will be given to students that will prove highly beneficial for them in future.
He further said that under the project 5000 people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be provided employment opportunities that would be allowed to take classes after completion of the basic training.
Tarakai added that under the project students will be provided equal opportunities and during Phase-1 schools will be selected on the same proportion and later their extension will be made on the basis of the same ratio.
