KPL,Overseas Warriors ink MoU

ISLAMABAD :A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Kashmir Premier League (KPL) and its franchise Overseas Warriors regarding the participation of the latter in the inaugural edition of the league.

The first edition of the KPL is scheduled to be held from August 6 to 16 in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

Speaking on the occasion, Senator Faisal Javed, who attended the ceremony as chief guest said the KPL would help highlight the Kashmir issue.

He expressed the hope that talent would emerge from different districts of AJK. “The talented youngsters from AJK will get a perfect chance to showcase their skills,” he said.

He conveyed his best wishes to Overseas Warriors and expressed the optimism that some exciting contests would take place during the event.

Former Pakistan leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed, who is the head coach of Overseas Warriors said that during the league Kashmiri youth would share dressing rooms with big names of Pakistan cricket, which would raise their confidence level.
