KARACHI: The Chief Secretary Sindh Wednesday directed the authorized officers and the law enforcement personnel to start checking vaccination cards of visitors.
The violators must be taken to tasks under the law, said the notification issued here.
The carrying of vaccination cards at different places by the employees of certain establishments and visitors to various places or facilities has been made mandatory and inspection of vaccination cards has been entrusted to the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA), it further added.
It was observed that Divisional or District Administration and Law Enforcement Personnel (LEP) are not taking the due interest in checking the vaccination cards.
Similarly, legal action including registration of cases or imposition of fine has also not been carried out so far, it informed.
The government has decided to judge the performance of officials on the basis of their interest taken in the matter, it stated.
