MULTAN: Local Government (LG) department has launched e-tendering training for government agencies and contractors.
According to official spokesman, E-tendering was implemented in line with the Punjab government’s vision of a corruption-free Pakistan.
Quoting statement of Secretary Local Government Noorul Amin Mengal, the spokesman said that E-tendering would prevent waste of government resources. It would help in bringing about transparency and fulfilment of merit, he added.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Dr Irshad Ahmed said providing a conducive environment for business was vision of the Prime Minister.
He said Punjab Chief Minister was determined to root out corruption from the society.
He said online tenders worth over Rs 50 million would be received for development projects in first phase.
