FAISALABAD: Lundianwala police arrested a man for desecration of the Holy Quran and registered a case against him.
Police said here on Thursday that some residents –Muhammad Athar, Shahid Pervez and Muhammad Zubair reported concerned police that Adil s/o Barkat, resident of Moula Virkan, Gujranwala tore off pages of Holy book at graveyard of Chak No 591-GB Gandapur. Police registered case under section 295-B CrPC and arrested the accused.
During initial interrogation, the accused confessed his crime, said police.
