MCCI for linking postal services with Amazon, E-Commerce

MULTAN:Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) president, Khawaja Muhammad Hussain, suggested linking of postal services to Amazon and E-Commerce for making it strong competitor in market.

He said that the initiative not only improve Pakistan Post services but also would bring more revenue.

He expressed these views while taking to a delegation of Pakistan Post which called on him at MCCI here on Tuesday.

Led by Deputy Post Master General (PMG), Multan Circle, Kamal Mustafa, the group consisted of Assistant Habib-ur- Rehman, Shabaan, Sajid Bhutta and others.

No one can undermine the services of postal services, he said adding that the department should offer incentives to its staffers just like private courier companies as importance of the employees of any organization cannot be ignored.

The MCCI president lauded Urgent Mail Service (UMS) of Pakistan Post and added that it was an excellent service for urgent delivery of mail within short time.

Khawaja Hussain recommended business community to utilize fastest postal services because importance of postal services couldn’t be denied.

Deputy PMG, Kamal Mustafa, informed that keeping in view modern trends, the department was introducing new services which was aimed at improving postal system.

He stated that Pakistan Post was generating up to 6 pc operational revenue annually adding that it had signed an MoU with Excise dept for delivery of Number plates and registration book of vehicles.
