Minister assures to resolve basic problems of Mardan city

PESHAWAR:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government, Elections and Rural Development (LG,E&RDD) Faisal Amin Gandapur Wednesday said that Madran is the second largest city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after Peshawar and assured to resolve all the issues on priority basis.

He said this while presiding over a meeting held at the Local Government Secretariat Peshawar to review the problems faced by the people regarding the Local Government Department in Mardan.

The meeting was attended by KP Food Minister Muhammad Atif Khan and other MPAs from Mardan Abdus Salam Afridi, Tufail Anjum, Malik Shoukat Ali and Zahir Shah Toru. KP Secretary Shakeel Ahmed Mian, Special Secretary Hafiz Mutasim Billa Shah, Director General Local Government, Secretary Local Council Board, heads of Mardan Development Authority, WSSC and mega project KPCAP also attended.

On this occasion, the civic problems of Mardan were discussed in depth while certain necessary decisions were also taken including health and hygiene, drinking, drainage and sanitation, solid waste disposal especially generating electricity from city garbage, modernizing residential projects, township development, TMA, WSSC, Mardan Development Authority and mega project KPCAP functionality, environmental improvement, training of local government employees deployed in Mardan on pattern of developed countries and other related civic issues.

Faisal Amin Gandapur while addressing the meeting, said that Mardan is the second largest city of the province after Peshawar and its construction and development is the foremost duty of the provincial government. He assured that the issues raised in the meeting would be resolved on priority basis.
