ISLAMABAD:Petroleum Division (PD) on Thursday said there was no shortage of petroleum products in the country as all outlets of major Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) were functioning and providing petrol and diesel to consumers.
A summary had already been sent to the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) to increase the dealers’ margin, which would be decided in its next meeting. “The dealers association should wait the ECC meeting in the light of regulations,” the PD said in a news release.
PD said the dealers’ margin was increased regularly and this year it was done in April. “All details on increase in the margin are based on the PIDE’s impartial report.”
It urged the dealers’ association to realize the hardships being faced by the public and “exhibit responsibility in the greater national interest.”
Earlier, a delegation of all major OMCs including Pakistan State Oil, Total, Parco and Shell Pakistan held a meeting with the Petroleum Division authorities and discussed matters related to fuel supply chain.
Representatives of Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC) and dealers’ association also attended the meeting.
