OIC successful session clears Pak’s stance for peace in region: Minister

ISLAMABAD:Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan on Tuesday said successful session of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has conveyed a clear message to the world that Pakistan is a peaceful country.

It was the result of effort of Prime Minister Imran Khan that Pakistan hosted an extraordinary session of OIC’s foreign minister after 41 years, he appreciated while speaking to Radio Pakistan’ current Affair program.

Prime Minister Imran Khan in his speech discussed the issues of Islamophobia, Rehamtul-lil-Alameen, Islamophobia, Palestine and Kashmir issues, he highlighted.

The delegations from the Islamic countries appreciated the stance of Pakistan on Afghanistan, he said adding, OIC suggested a string of steps to mitigate a looming humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

Replying to a query, he said absence of financial channels was making it difficult for donors to send relief money to Afghanistan however, a way out would be found to pledge financial support to Afghan brethren.
