LARKANA:Following the directives of Sindh Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Sindh Minister for Works & Services Syed Zia Abbas Shah and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh Muhammad Asif Khan, an open katchehry held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Jacobabad, on Friday.

Speaking on the Occasion, Sindh Minister for Works & Services Syed Zia Abbas Shah said the present provincial government was making all-out efforts to provide relief to the masses.

He said that we were trying to solve the problems of masses at their doorsteps.Open katchehries were being held all over Sindh.

He further said that we would come here so that the problems of the people were solved and the people pointed-out their problems.

The Minister said”We are committed to provide relief and justice to the people at their door steps without any discrimination and we are duty bound to implement the party manifesto in latter and spirit.”

He directed the district officers to sit in their respective offices and immediately provide relief to the people by resolving their legitimate issues.

A large number of people raised their issues in the open katchehry, including shifting of NADRA office far-away from the city, health, doctors of Civil Hospital Jacobabad re-assigned from Jacobabad Institute of Medical Sciences(JIMS), improvement and functioning of Civil Hospital Jacobabad, providing of all health facilities at JIMS Hospital, posting of a headmaster in Government High School, improving law and order, de-sailting of branches and canals, illegal occupying of poor lands, lying of paved blocks in the streets, cleanliness in the city and outskirts of Jacobabad, establishing a University in Jacobabad, Education, encroachment, establishment of a Dialysis Center at Jacobabad were brought before the provincial minister in the open court.

The minister ordered the removal of complaints through the officials of relevant departments.

After hearing these complaints, the Sindh minister issued orders on the spot, directed to the concerned officers and resolved them on the spot. He directed the Deputy Commissioner Jacobabad and SSP Jacobabad in this regard. There were problems that need to be addressed and some issues should be referred to higher authorities so that they could be resolved, he said.

He further said”Police were there to protect the life, property and honor of the people. He further instructed the police officials to work day and night to protect the lives, property and honor of the masses, so that they can sleep peacefully,” he added.

The Minister received the applications of the masses and also issued on the spot passed on spot order.

Earlier, on the occasion, MPAs Dr. Sohrab Sarki, Mumtaz Hussain Jakhrani and Mohammad Aslam Abro told that the canals and distributaries in the Jacobabad district have been damaged and their repair would be started soon. Improve the traffic system, complete the remaining development work, solving the problems masses will benefit the public.

Besides, talking to media after the open Court, the Minister said that the issues presented in the open katchahery would be resolved on a priority basis.

He further said that works and services department has approved development budget of two billion rupees which would be started by the November 2021. An additional three billion rupees would be spent for Jacobabad district, he added and said that the problem of hospitals would also be resolved on a priority basis.

Sindh Minister for Works & Services Syed Zia Abbas Shah said that, “ he had directed the officers to resolve the problems of the people on the priority basis and report them.”

The open katchehry was attended by Mir Mumtaz Khan Jakrani MPA, Mohammad Aslam Abro MPA, Dr. Mir Sohrab Khan MPA, Mir Liaquat Khan Lashari President, PPP District Jacobabad, Deputy Commissioner Jacobabad Dr. Haeez Sial, SSP Jacobabad Shumail Malik Riaz, social workers, journalists, notables of the district and other public from various parts of the district. It was also attended by heads of all the federal and provincial departments of the district.
