LAHORE: The Lahore police Thursday retrieved 113 kanals of state land worth billions of rupees from a land grabber, Manzoor Butt, in a successful operation at Batapur area.
On the orders of the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, the operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Cantt division Sayed Aziz, whereas officers of the district administration also participated in the crackdown.
While giving details, the SP Cantt said the accused had been in illegal possession of the state land for a long period of time and had also built a Haveli on around 20-marla area on that land.
A helpline 1242 has been established at the CCPO office for redress of grievances of citizens, affected by the land grabbers.
