LAHORE:Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) and Nokia enterprise signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at a ceremony held at Pakistan pavilion of Expo 2020 in Dubai.
On the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, international business conference was held in Dubai International Financial City in which a large number of domestic and foreign investors participated.
The conference was presided over by Minister for Industries, Commerce, Investment and Skill Development
Punjab Mian Aslam Iqbal and Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht , PSCA Chief Operating Officer Muhammad Kamran Khan and Chief Technology Officer PSCA Tariq Malik were also present on the occasion.
According to PSCA spokesman, 20 MoUs were signed with global investment companies and, an agreement was also signed between world renowned Finnish company Nokia and Punjab Safe Cities Authority in the event.
In this regard, Nokia also agreed to set up a pilot project in Lahore.
Under the MoU, Nokia would onduct a Smart City pilot project in Lahore and would also support PSCA for general innovation and technology evolution. Artificial intelligence masterpieces would also be unveiled in collaboration with the PSCA and Nokia, he added.
