HYDERABAD:Despite strike call given by Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA), petrol pumps of marketing companies Pakistan State Oil and Shell were remain opened on Thursday and provided petroleum supply to the vehicles while rest of the pumps remain closed.
The petrol pumps of the PSO and the Shell located in Hyderabad city, Qasimabad, Latifabad, rural taluka and national high way, Hyderabad by pass remain operational despite the strike.
Due to strike call of the PPDA, people across the district were in search of petrol as majority of the petrol pumps were closed.
Oil marketing companies Pakistan State Oil and Shell had already announced that they were not part of the strike.
According to OGRA spokesman, some elements were trying to disrupt the supply of petroleum products but the OGRA enforcement teams monitored the situation in the field for taking action against the elements involved in placing obstacles in the supply.
