PSX gains 341 points to close at 47, 599 points

ISLAMABAD: KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued with bullish trend on Friday, gaining 341.37 points, with a positive change of 0.72 per cent, closing at 47, 599.82 points against 47, 258.45 points on the last working day.

A total of 299, 134, 001 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 246, 070, 819 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs13.067 billion against Rs11.477 billion the previous day.

As many as 464 companies’ transacted shares in the stock market, 298 of them recorded gain and 139 sustained losses whereas the share price of 27 companies remained unchanged.

The three top traded companies were Ghani Glo Hol with a volume of 21, 637, 000 shares and price per share of Rs45.01, Byco Petroleum with a volume of 18, 857, 000 and price per share of Rs9.75 and TPL Corp Ltd with volume of 10, 358, 500 and price per share of Rs21.81.

Unilever Foods witnessed maximum increase of Rs299.98 per share, closing at Rs17299.99. Bata Pak was runner up, share prices of which increased by Rs 121.98, closing at Rs1748.41.

Rafhan Maize recorded a maximum decrease of Rs 300 per share, closing at Rs9700 followed by Wyeth Pak Ltd the prices of which declined by Rs 129.46 per share, closing at Rs1596.77.
