PSX loses 80 points to close at 47,793 points

ISLAMABAD:The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Friday, losing 80.19 points, with a negative change of 0.17 percent, closing at 47,793.07 points against 47,873.26 points on the last working day.

A total of 314,163,514 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 320,978,957 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs11.092 billion against Rs11.897 billion the previous day.

As many as 417 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 160 of them recorded gain and 237 sustained losses whereas the share price of 20 companies remained unchanged.

The three top traded companies were Byco Petroleum with a volume of 34,058,000 shares and price per share of Rs10.77, Dandot (R ) with a volume of 23,998,000 and price per share of Rs0.73 and Pace (Pak ) Ltd with volume of 22,591,000 and price per share of Rs7.77.
