RAWALPINDI: The Finance Sub-Committee comprises of Finance Department, P&D Department and HUD&PHE Department Tuesday met under the chairmanship of Director General (DG) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to scrutinize the annual budget of RDA for fiscal year 2021-22.
It was informed in the meeting that total outlay of RDA budget for the fiscal year 2021-22 is Rs 2379 million.
The major portion of Rs1984 million of the budget allocated for the ongoing and new development schemes. The ongoing development schemes including Construction / Widening and Improvement of Dry Port Road from Rahimabad Flyover at Airport Road to Welfare Complex via Chaklala Railway Station Shell Depot, Rawalpindi Pedestrian Bridge at Airport Rawalpindi at an expected cost of Rs 69 million.
The new development schemes ADP 2021-22 include Land Acquisition for Construction of Lai Expressway and Flood Channel , Rawalpindi at allocation of
Rs 20 million.
Remodeling of Ketcheri Chowk, at allocation of Rs 300 million. Remodeling of Defense Chowk at allocation of Rs 300 million, Establishment of PMU for Construction of Lai Nullah Expressway Project and Urban Regeneration Plan along Lai Nullah at allocation Rs 20 million in current fiscal year 2021-22.
Income Target for FY 2021-22 has been set at Rs 433.325 million and RDA has achieved recovery target for FY 2020-21.
Rs 395.001 million has been allocated for non-development expenditures/expenses which includes pay/pension salary, electricity, telephone, repair and maintenance fuel etc.
Asif Mahmood Janjua, Director Adman & Finance, RDA, Muhammad Junaid Taj Bhatti, Deputy Director Finance, RDA and the representative of Finance Department, HUD&PHED and P&D Department attended the meeting.
