RAWALPINDI:On the directives of the Director General (DG) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Nadeem Ahmad Abro, Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate on Friday issued notice to the owner of illegal housing scheme ‘Star Avenue.’
According to RDA spokesman, the Authority was taking strict action in accordance with the law against illegal housing schemes and the rules violators.
MP&TE Directorate issued notice to the owner of Star Avenue, Chakri Road Rawalpindi directing to stop illegal advertisements and development work.
Application for registration of a case has also been submitted in the respective police station, he informed.
Director MP&TE RDA Jamshaid Aftab has directed the owners of the illegal housing scheme to immediately stop illegal advertisements in print and electronic media.
The administration of the scheme has also been warned of strict action if the development work and advertisements are not stopped.
RDA had advised the general public not to invest in illegal housing schemes.
The authority had also requested Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) and PTCL, not to extend their services to illegal housing schemes.
The spokesman informed the DG had directed the authorities concerned to take strict action against illegal and unauthorized commercial and residential construction without any discrimination.
