LAHORE:Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) Secretary, Imran Sikander Baloch Wednesday said that health department was taking solid measures to provide best health services to people in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
He said this during a meeting with delegation of World Bank (WB) here. Health Services Punjab Director General, Dr Haroon Jehangir Khan, Dr Akhtar Bashir and Dr Nauman Khan from World Health Organisation (WHO) and delegation members Practice Manager Gail Richardson, Senior Health Specialist Manobithari, Senior Health Specialist Aliya Kashif and others were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, a strategy was devised to complete all the development projects on time, whereas 30 projects ongoing with the support of WB were also discussed.
P&SHD Imran Sikander Baloch said, “New projects with the support of World Bank were being initiated”.
He said that reducing infant and maternal mortality was top priority, adding that under the reach every door (RED) campaign, more and more people were being vaccinated.
He said his department would make all out efforts to make family planning services successful with the support of the World Bank.
Practice Manager World Bank Gail Richardson said the WB would support the population welfare department and the P&SHD to make family planning project a success.
