ISLAMABAD: Chairman Institute of Research and Reforms Senator A. Rehman Malik Thursday urged the government and Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) to avoid confrontation in the larger interest of the country.
He said the government should resolved the issue with TLP through dialogue, said a press release issued here.
Rehman Malik said that Rangers had also been called in with police powers and if proper strategies were not used, clashes between the TLP and law enforcement agencies would escalate.
“I will like to warn both sides timely to move towards a solution to this issue and not to push the situation towards bloodshed, ” he said.
