PESHAWAR: Unknown armed robbers on Wednesday snatched Rs 2.4 million from a property dealer in Bashir Abad area of Faqir Abad police station and escaped the scene by brandishing their arms.
Police said the property dealer, Hamza, son of Shamsur Rehman was on way to his office for payment to his client when armed robbers hit his two-wheeler near Bashir Abad Canal.
The robbers then threw the key of the motorcycle into the canal and snatched Rs 2.4 million from the property dealer at gunpoint.
It merits a mention here that earlier some two months ago a same incident of robbery had occurred in the area in which the robbers deprived a man of Rs 1.6 million. Faqir Abad police have registered a case and started investigation.
