ISLAMABAD:Exchange rate of the Pakistan rupee appreciated by one paisa against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Thursday and closed at Rs174.87 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 174.88.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of US dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 175.9 and Rs 177.3 respectively.
Similarly, the price of the euro was appreciated by Rs 0.26 and closed at Rs 199.85 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 199.59.
The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 1.51, whereas a decrease of 25 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs236.90 as compared to its last closing of Rs 237.15.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal witnessed unchanged to close at Rs 47.60 and Rs 46.61 respectively.
