BAHAWALPUR:The Department of Commerce, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in collaboration with the Bank of Khyber, National Rural Support Program Microfinance Bank and State Bank of Pakistan here on Tuesday organized Islamic Banking Seminar.
The guest speaker Shariah Consultant Bank of Khyber Qazi Abdul Samad gave a detailed lecture on Islamic Banking, Business Partnership and other aspects. He presented insight view of difference between Islamic banking and conventional banking, equal partnership and other issues.
Mufti Muhammad Ibad Irshad and Hassan Warraich, Shariah Advisors of NRSP Microfinance Bank also spoke in detail about Islamic banking. Representative of the State Bank of Pakistan Muhammad Arif discussed the growth rate and market share of Islamic banking.
Chairman Department of Commerce Prof. Dr. Abdul Majeed Miki specially thanked the Vice-Chancellor Engineer Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob and the guest speakers from different banks for their special patronage in organizing the seminar.
