GILGIT:Deputy commissioner District diamer on Monday said that situation in Dodishal Darel was now under control.
Reacting to the violence that erupted in Dodishal area, Deputy Commissioner Fiaz Ahmed has said that extra contingent of security forces were deployed in the area and the situation was right now under control.
In a statement, he has said that the Assistant Commissioner Darel has shifted the three injured to Chilas Regional Headquarter Hospital. He has further said that the abducted person was released and the culprits were arrested.
Fiaz Ahmed has said that the fire was also extinguished that erupted as a result of firing between the groups.
DC has said that SDPO and magistrates were stationed in Dodishal Valley to avoid any trouble.
It was earlier reported that a clash between two rival tribes in Dodishal area of District Diamer has led to heavy exchange of fire. Many people were reported injured in the exchange of fire. The rival groups had also abducted people from the opposite tribes.
Local activist, Roshan Din Diameri, had shared a video of burning houses on social media site Twitter, adding that the clash was underway since 10pm last night.
