MULTAN: The district administration foiled attempt of selling utility store corporation (USC) sugar to open market and also seized about 500 kilograms sugar by arresting two staffers at Suraj Miani area.
On a tip off, AC City Khawaja Umair and Secretary RTA Rana Mohsin raided at USC Suraj Miani sales point and confiscated around 500 kg sugar which was to be sold into open market on higher rates.
The two USC staffers allegedly involved in selling sugar were taken into custody by Sadar police.
The case would be got registered against the accused, said a handout issued by district administration.
