Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Police have arrested 10 individuals involved in the illegal liquor trade and seized over 79 liters of illicit alcohol from their possession during a series of successful operations conducted in the various areas of the city.
According to a police spokesperson, Waris Khan Police arrested two liquor suppliers, recovering 22 liters of illegal alcohol.
In a separate operation, Ratta Amral Police confiscated 15 liters from another dealer. Chaklala Police also made significant progress, seizing 10 liters from one supplier, while Taxila Police recovered an additional 10 liters from another suspect.
Further operations in the region yielded additional successes, with Wah Cantt Police confiscating 8 liters of illegal liquor, and Wah Saddar Police recovering 5 liters from another supplier. Dhamiyal Police seized 5 liters from yet another suspect, while Westridge Police took 4 liters into custody. Finally, RA Bazaar Police recovered a bottle of liquor from an individual involved in the trade.
Divisional SPs have emphasized that these operations are part of a larger, ongoing initiative to combat the illegal drug and liquor trade in the region. They highlighted that the police will continue to work relentlessly to eliminate these social evils and safeguard public health and safety. The spokesperson further reassured the public that the police remain committed to upholding the law and maintaining a secure environment for Rawalpindi residents.
