PESHAWAR:On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Afaq Wazir, the grand operation against encroachments and illegal constructions in the Ring Road areas of Garhi Qamardin and near the Toll Plaza continued for the second day on Monday, during which illegal structures comprising over 120 shops and markets have been demolished so far.
The operation is being carried out under the supervision of the District Administration Peshawar, with officials from the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) and other relevant departments participating.
The purpose of the action is to clear government land of encroachments, maintain road width, improve traffic flow, and relieve citizens of commuting difficulties.
The District Administration is continuing operations to eliminate encroachments and illegal constructions, while relevant departments are jointly participating to take effective measures for vacating government land and ensuring enforcement of the law.
Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Afaq Wazir made it clear that the operation would continue till complete elimination of encroachments and illegal constructions in Ring Road and other areas, and indiscriminate action would be taken against law violators.
