134 cops promoted to next ranks

RAWALPINDI:As many as 134 Assistant Sub-Inspectors and Head Constables of the Rawalpindi Division police were promoted to the next ranks based on their ‘performance and service record’.

According to a police spokesman, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Syed Khurram Ali issued the promotion orders.

He said a special board consisting of district police officers from all four districts of the division, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal was formed under the leadership of the RPO for the promotion of the officials.

On the recommendation of and scrutiny by the board, the promotion orders of the officials were issued, he said.

The regional police officer while congratulating the promoted officials said that the process of timely promotion in the force would continue as per the directives of the Punjab Inspector General of the Police.

All the officers have been promoted to the next rank based on their service record and performance, he said.

“Now your responsibilities have doubled and you should perform your duties with a dedication to ensure the provision of justice to the citizens”, the RPO said.

The board made its recommendations after checking the excellent service record and the data of all the officials.

Based on these recommendations, 36 Assistant Sub-Inspectors and 98 Head Constables were promoted to the next rank.
