BAHAWALPUR: Bahawalpur Police arrested 14 suspects, including seven proclaimed offenders (POs), during various operations carried out over the past 24 hours.
According to a spokesperson for Bahawalpur police, a large quantity of liquor, narcotics, and illegal weapons was also recovered. He said that the teams from Kotwali, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed, Sadar Bahawalpur, and Head Rajkan police stations, using professional expertise and modern technology, arrested seven Category-A proclaimed offenders.
Meanwhile, police teams from Baghdad-ul-Jadeed and Abbas Nagar police stations arrested three suspects involved in liquor trafficking and recovered 56 litres of liquor from their possession. In separate operations, police from Nowshera Jadeed and City Yazman police stations arrested four suspects involved in drug trafficking and recovered 5.6 kilograms of hashish and 102 grams of crystal meth. Separate cases have been registered against all the arrested suspects, and further investigation is underway.
