Faisalabad: The Civil Defence Department sealed 17 shops on charge of illegal gas decanting during the last 5 days.
Civil Defence Officer Rana Muhammad Abbas said here on Sunday that civil defence teams checked various markets and shops and found 17 shopkeepers involved in illicit LPG decanting.
Therefore, the shops were sealed in addition to confiscating their material and getting criminal cases registered against 15 shopkeepers.
Meanwhile, three mini-petrol pumps were also sealed due to non-renewal of their ‘K’ forms besides submitting challans against 10 shopkeepers in the court of judicial magistrates for further action, he added.
