172 vehicles fined for emitting smoke

SIALKOT: On the direction of the secretary transport Punjab, a crackdown was under way on public and goods transport for emitting smoke in the district. During the last two weeks, 172 vehicles were fined Rs 3,06,000 for emitting smoke. Secretary Regional Transport Authority Muzaffar Hayat said strict action was being taken over the violation of route permit and load management, adding that routes given to goods vehicles should be followed, otherwise, action would be taken against them.
