ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has said that a total of 180,534 candidates appeared in national venues across the country in the MDCAT exam.
According to an official of PMDC, 382 candidates appeared at two international centers, 185 candidates appeared in Dubai and 197 candidates in Saudi Arabia.
He said that 66,875 appeared in Punjab province, 40,528 in Sindh, 46439 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 9,230 in Balochistan, 926 in Gilgit, 4,036 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 12,118 in Islamabad.
He said that the council successfully conducted MDCAT exam- 2023 at national and foreign venues.
He said that the MDCAT examination was conducted in 31 cities all over Pakistan to facilitate maximum number of candidates to appear in the exam.
These cities included Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Sialkot, DG Khan, Sargodha, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Karachi, Jamshoro, Dera Ismail Khan, Malakand, Nawabshah, Swat, Swabi, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, Abbottabad, Quetta, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Huripur, Larkana, Mansehra, and Mirpur.
He said that MDCAT-2023 was a paper-based exam, held single day at national and international venues through provincial public admitting universities supervised by PMDC.
He said that student’s bright future is our top priority and the PMDC is working tirelessly to facilitate them.
He said that the President PMDC visited different examination centers in Islamabad.
He added that special assistance was also provided to a few candidates who required help (with special needs or handicap) to fill answer sheets.
He said that to facilitate the candidates a simple examination marking pattern is kept and no negative marking will be done on wrong answers.
He said that students were provided the best facilities to appear in the exam.
