SARGODHA:The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO),Sargodha Circle has apprehended 19 individuals allegedly involved in electricity theft and registered 29 cases during its ongoing crackdown against power pilferage.
According to a FESCO spokesperson here on Tuesday,task force teams,acting on the directions of the Superintendent Engineer,conducted raids in various areas of the circle to detect electricity theft.
During the last 24 hours,one individual was arrested in Sargodha city while three cases were registered against consumers in Shahpur.
Five individuals were also caught red-handed while allegedly stealing electricity through unauthorized connections and meter tampering,the spokesperson added.
The spokesperson said FESCO was continuing its campaign against electricity theft to curb power pilferage and ensure the integrity of its distribution system.
