SARGODHA: District Police Officer (DPO) Asad Ejaz Malhi issued the security plan for the 7th of Muharam, here on Saturday.
He said that 2,000 policemen had been deployed to provide security to 245 majalisis and 79 processions in the city.
He said that tight security arrangements had been made to ensure exemplary security cover to mourners.
He said that walk-through gates had been installed and monitoring was being ensured through CCTV cameras.
He said that all deployed staff would remain alert during Muharram duties.
