Dera ismail khan: The district social welfare department carried out a late-night operation to provide relief to homeless and shelter-less individuals in the district during the ongoing winter season.
According to district administration, the operation was conducted under the supervision of the district officer social welfare, during which teams visited various areas of the district to identify people exposed to harsh weather conditions and in need of immediate shelter.
As a result of the initiative, 24 deserving individuals were shifted to a government-run shelter home, where they were provided safe and secure accommodation.
The shelter facility is equipped with round-the-clock electricity, hot water, proper bedding, and blankets. Special arrangements have been made for women, including separate rooms and washrooms with hot water. In addition, all residents of the shelter will be provided free breakfast.
District administration officials said that such operations will continue to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable segments of society during the winter season.
