NAROWAL: An action against adulteration, hoarding and overcharging is going on in
Narowal district. District Officer Industries Zeeshan Niaz on Wednesday said 2,596 inspections were conducted by price magistrates during the current month throughout the district. He said 285 shopkeepers were found guilty of violation and were fined Rs 11,54,500. During the campaign, 11 cases were registered and 25 people were arrested while a shopwas sealed, he added.
The DO industries said the deputy commissioner was reviewing daily report of operations of price magistrates.
