Hyderabad:A harmful gas leakage from a water filtration plant in Khursheed Town, Hala Naka area on Thursday, affected around 29 people, including 20 children. The affected were immediately shifted to the civil hospital for treatment.
According to details, the gas spread through nearby homes and streets, affecting several people, including children. Rescue teams promptly reached and transported the affected individuals to civil hospital, where they were given medical attention.
The Medical Superintendent of the civil hospital confirmed that the affected were stable after receiving immediate care, however, three children had been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for further monitoring. He said that the hospital is equipped to handle any further cases, and an emergency was also declared in the hospital to respond to any situation.
According to Rescue 1122 and hospital sources, the affected include several children and adults, ranging from 4 to 40 years old. Among those affected are 8 year old Aliza,
Uzair, Ayan, Ahram, Fatima, Shehbaz, Fazal, 12 year old Ayesha, 40 year old Kashif, 5 year old Salar, 6 year old Asma, 10 year old Yasira, 9 year old Sobia, 14 year old Nazra, 12 year old Ali Hassan, 15 year old Dua, 6 year old Sheeza, 7-year old Bilal, 10 year old Faraz, 10 year old Husnain, 17 year old Sanaullah, 35 year old Javed, 25 year old Madad, 22 year old Muzammil, 6 year old Farhan, 4 year old Faryal, 35 year old Zareena, 30 year old Naveed and Fida Hussain, and all were shifted at civil hospital for treatment.
