300 kites confiscated during ongoing crackdown

RAWALPINDI:Police have confiscated more than 300 kites and 07 strings and arrested 40 kite-flyers and kite-sellers during crackdown here Sunday, informed police spokesman.

Ganjmandi police arrested two kite sellers namely Muhammad Bashir and Younas and recovered 39 kites from their possession.

Similarly, Rata Amral Police held Syed Ali and recovered 20 kites from his custody. While, Pirwadhi police arrested four kite sellers Khanzada, Zafar, Osama and Yasir and recovered 29 kites from their possession. Following operation, Waris Khan police recovered 05 kites from Shah Jahan.

Bani police arrested 11 kite flyers Mubashir, Mubeen, Osama Riaz, Danish, Bilal, Obaid, Danish, Asim, Abdul Rehman and Qadir and recovered 11 kites and 07 strings from their possession.

New Town police recovered 5 kites from Saab Rehman, while Sadiqabad police recovered 161 kites from 20 accused Bilal, Yasir, Rafaqat, Arsalan, Abu Bakar, Inzamam, Fazil, Wajid, Babar, Khalil, Tariq, Mamriz, Osama, Amir, Bilal, Khurram, Bilal Bala, Zeeshan, Abdul Rehman and Waheed.

Police have registered separate cases against all of them under kite flying act.
