LAHORE: Under the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Police’s crackdown on metallic kite strings and kite flyers continues across province, including Lahore.
Punjab Police spokesperson said that since February 26, 4,306 cases have been registered, and 4,441 accused involved in the dangerous sport and trade had been arrested. Seizures from the culprits included 247,078 kites and 17,089 spools of metallic string.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has instructed RPOs, CPOs, and DPOs to intensify the uninterrupted crackdown across the province.
