5 Patwaris dismissed, 11 suspended on various grounds

PESHAWAR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar has sacked five patwaris and the services of eleven (11) others have been put under suspension for tampering with revenue records, non-depositing of taxes, corruption and causing suffering to the public and subverting official orders.

According to a press release issued here on Thursday, a case against one Tehsildar, two Naib Tehsildars and a Gurdawar had been sent to the provincial government for further action. Similarly, disciplinary action would also be initiated against the suspended patwaris.

According to the district administration, any kind of blackmail will not be tolerated and strict legal action will be taken against the Patwaris, involved in corruption and suffering for the people.

It said that the provincial capital will be cleansed of corrupt elements and in this regard and on the instructions of the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, action has been taken against the corrupt Patwaris.
