Sukkur: The 5th Blood Donation Camp for Thalassemia patients was organized by Regional Blood Centre (RBC) Sukkur at the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) District Office on Wednesday.
The camp was organized to support thalassemia patients who are dependent on regular blood transfusions for survival.
The RBC Sukkur team, led by Afzal Waseer, Manager Blood Donor, conducted an informative awareness session for the SRSO staff.
He highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and shed light on the challenges faced by thalassemia patients.
The camp received an encouraging response with active and voluntary participation from the SRSO staff. The donated blood will provide vital support to thalassemia patients in need.
Officials of SRSO and RBC Sukkur appreciated the spirit of the donors and termed voluntary blood donation a noble cause and a lifeline for thalassemia patients.
