Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: At least six people were injured when a fire broke out on Friday morning in a multi-story building on Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi.

According to a private news channel, the fire occurred at the Kashif Center, a 15-story building, where an electrical shortcut was suspected to have started the blaze.

The fire quickly spread from the second floor to higher levels, worsened by the building’s lack of emergency exits.

Eight fire trucks, including two fire engines and a snorkel, were sent to the scene. Firefighters acted quickly to control the blaze and evacuate the trapped people.

Rescue officials ensured that everyone inside the building was safely rescued. The injured received immediate medical attention, with one person reported to be in critical condition.

Fire brigade officials have brought the fire under control, using the snorkel to help evacuate people from the building.
