FAISALABAD:The Punjab Food Authority (PFA), during a raid, unearthed a spices grinding unit and seized 1000-kg husk, 60-kg red-chilli, colours and machinery, on Friday.
PFA Deputy Director Dr Qasim Raza said the spices were adulterated with substandard colours and husk of rice.
The owner of the unit also failed to produce medical certificates of workers while insects were also found in the unit.
The PFA official urged citizens to register their complaints at helpline 1223 if they find any factory producing adulterated food item.
