Khanpur: At least nine people including women and children were injured on Sunday when four cars collided with each other near BHU Tofikiyan in Khanpur.

According to Rescue 1122 Haripur, the vehicles were part of a wedding procession traveling from Rawalpindi to Haripur when three cars from the procession collided with an oncoming vehicle, injuring nine people, including women.

Following the incident, medical teams from Rescue 1122, from Station 22 (Khanpur) under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Zahir Mian, immediately reached the scene. The teams provided first aid to the injured on site and transferred them to Type D Hospital Khanpur, while two critically injured individuals were referred to the Trauma Center for further treatment.
