Kohat: On the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat, Shahbaz Elahi, police on Sunday launched a crackdown against individuals involved in displaying firearms and aerial firing on social media platforms.

According to police sources, SHO Bilitang Police Station, Raouf Khan, along with his team, conducted an operation and arrested suspects who were found exhibiting weapons online. Firearms were recovered from the possession of the accused during the raid.

The arrested individuals have been shifted to Bilitang Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Police officials reiterated that strict action will continue against those misusing social media to glorify weapons, as such activities pose a threat to public peace and safety.
