Larkana: Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar has commended and praised the overall performance against crime, while appreciating the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Larkana, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Larkana, and their team for arresting 05 suspects belonging to a major drug mafia gang and recovering a large quantity of narcotics on Sunday.

Under the leadership of SSP Larkana Ahmed Chaudhry, Larkana Police exposed a major drug network and, during a successful operation, arrested five drug dealers. During raids within the limits of various police stations, police recovered over two kilograms of ice (crystal meth) and over twelve kilograms of charas (hashish). The arrested suspects include notorious drug dealer Khalid Abro, Saleem Patafi, Kamran alias Wadhayo Abro, Lady police Constable Nazia Korai, and her mother Farzana, while several accomplices fled after discarding drugs, and raids are ongoing for their arrest.

They stated that the operation was conducted with the assistance of a federal civil sensitive agency. Preliminary investigations have revealed that Lady Constable Nazia Korai was involved in supplying drugs across various districts of the province under the guise of her police uniform, while her mother was also part of this network.

This operation was carried out by a team formed under the supervision of DSP Aqil Fahad Arshad Mughal and In-charge CIA Sub-Inspector Arshad Mahmood Malik, which dismantled the entire network in a short period.

SSP Larkana Ahmed Chaudhry reiterated the resolve that indiscriminate operations to make Larkana drug-free will continue and strict legal action will be taken against drug dealers.
