Hyderabad: As the incidents of robberies remain unabated on the M9 Motorway, connecting Karachi with Hyderabad and the upcountry, an employee of Pakistan Navy and his family was looted on the motorway in the wee hours of Sunday.According to Nooriabad police station’s SHO Ayaz Abro, an FIR of the incident had been registered on the complaint of Naseem Abbass Rajput.He stated that they were returning from Karachi to Hyderabad when their vehicle hit some stones which were placed on the motorway resulting in bursting of one of the car’s tyres.He added that when he came out of the car to change the tyre near Baloch Hotel in Nooriabad, 6 armed men held them hostage at gunpoint.Rajput claimed that the robbers took away their cash, jewelry, mobile phones and other belongings.The SHO said the police had started an investigation of the incident.He expressed hope that the culprits would be soon brought to the book. The spokesman Syed Saad Ali informed that the IGP had directed DIG Hyderabad to arrest the culprits within 3 days and to submit a report.
