FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has sealed 7 plots in Sir Syed Town and Nazim Abad on charge of their illegal construction and commercial use.
A spokesman for the FDA said here on Saturday that plot holders were bound to seek prior approval from the authority for construction of any type on their plots and their use for commercial purposes but during checking FDA teams found that owners of Plot No.211-566-E, 60-B, 541-E, 564-E and 212 in Syed Sir Town and Plot No.31-A in Nazim Abad were making constructions on their plots illegally for their use in commercial purposes without paying its due fee.
Therefore, the FDA team sealed these seven plots immediately while further action against their owners was under progress.
Meanwhile, the FDA team also removed encroachments from Main Bazaar Allama Iqbal Colony in addition to confiscating the materials of the land grabbers from the encroached sites.
Challans against the accused were also sent to the court of Special Judicial Magistrate while fu
rther action was under progress, he added.
