RAWALPINDI: In a significant operation, police have arrested two members gang involved in vehicle theft and recovered eight stolen vehicles from their possession in a successful operation.
The gang members were identified as Junaid and Ali Muhammad.
According to the police spokesman, the operation was conducted on special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani in a bid to prevent the city from vehicle theft.
During the operation, the Sadiqabad Police, led by SHO Sadiqabad and supervised by SSP Investigation Zunaira Azfar and SP Rawal Faisal Saleem, successfully recovered eight stolen vehicles valued in millions of rupees from various parts of Rawalpindi.
These vehicles were promptly handed over to their owners.
The arrested gang Junaid and Ali Muhammad, were involved in multiple vehicle thefts across Rawalpindi.
Police investigations further revealed that the accused were using sophisticated weapons and tools for their criminal activities.
Efforts are currently underway to
apprehend other accomplices.
SP Rawal assured that all legal procedures will be diligently followed to ensure that the accused faces justice.
He further underscored the ongoing efforts of the Rawalpindi Police to curb vehicle theft.
CPO Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani emphasized that the safety of citizens’ lives and property remains a top priority for the Rawalpindi Police.
He praised the collaborative efforts of SP Rawal, SDPO New Town, SHO Sadiqabad, and the entire team involved in the successful operation.
Meanwhile, the owners of the vehicles expressed gratitude for the diligent efforts of the Rawalpindi Police.
